CCTV Drainage Inspection Services

We provide comprehensive CCTV drainage surveys to help clients understand the condition and layout of their drainage systems. Our diagnostic and investigative surveys are designed to detect a wide range of issues, including blockages, infiltration, tree root ingress, misconnections, and structural defects. We offer tailored recommendations for remedial action to prevent leaks, flooding, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Our fleet of fully-equipped CCTV units is capable of performing on-site investigations, allowing us to quickly identify issues and propose solutions with minimal disruption to your operations. Whether you’re dealing with private or public sewer systems, our team is fully trained and qualified to work in confined spaces and on challenging sites.

Key Benefits:

  • Confined Space Expertise: Our team is trained to safely work inside drains and manholes as needed, ensuring full access to your drainage network.

  • Comprehensive Reporting: Every client receives a detailed WinCan report, AutoCAD site drawings, and a list of immediate and recommended actions for remediation.

  • Versatility: We handle both domestic drainage issues and large-scale public network surveys, providing solutions for all types of drainage systems.

Added Value:

  • Equipment: Our fleet includes nine fully-equipped CCTV units capable of surveying pipes ranging from 40mm to 2,500mm in diameter, ensuring we can tackle any job, large or small.

  • Efficiency: Our rapid response times allow us to quickly identify and resolve drainage issues, minimizing downtime and disruption.

  • Cost-Effective: Regular condition surveys can help detect minor issues before they become major, more costly problems, saving you money in the long term.

  • Best Practices: Mapping site drainage is considered best practice by the Environment Agency and can help reduce penalties in the event of a pollution incident.

Our Services:

CCTV Surveys:
Our CCTV cameras can assess the condition, structural integrity, and functionality of pipes ranging from 40mm upwards. Whether you're dealing with internal pipework or public sewers, we can identify blockages, structural issues, and other defects. We also offer CCTV surveys as part of pre-purchase or environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with Environment Agency regulations.

Sonar Tracing:
Our sonar tracing equipment accurately locates defective or collapsed drains identified during CCTV surveys. This technology helps us determine the line, depth, and direction of the drainage system, aiding in selecting the best repair method and pinpointing excavation sites. Sonar tracing is also useful for pre-construction mapping to avoid accidental damage to pipes during building works.

Manhole Surveys:
Manhole surveys provide critical data on the condition of sewer systems. These surveys can be performed separately or as part of a full drainage survey, offering detailed insights into the manhole structure, pipe inlet and outlet diameters, invert depths, and cover conditions. The data is presented in compliance with the STC25 industry standard, with reporting via manhole cards or CAD drawings tailored to client requirements.

Dye Testing:
Dye testing is a highly effective method for tracing water flow through drains or pipes. It is particularly useful for identifying individual flows into a shared drain or for tracing where foul water is entering rivers or streams. Dye testing can also be used for connectivity surveys, mapping drainage and water flow when a full CCTV survey is not required.

Odour Investigation:
If bad smells are present, we use a combination of mini camera systems and smoke bombs to investigate potential cracks, gaps, or other entry points in the pipework. This helps to identify the source of the odour and provide solutions to mitigate the issue.
